Ordway Jr Wins At Sandusky Hy-Miler
At the 45th Sandusky Speedway Hy-Miler Nationals, Mike Ordway Jr claimed the checkered flag. For those unfamiliar with the race, the Sandusky Speedway Hy-Miler is a 100-lap race with twists and turns in just about every lap. Ordway Jr. had led most of the race and found his way back to the front once the checkered flag dropped.
This year’s Hy-Miler Nationals was jam-packed with some of the best supermodified racers and had plenty of surprises and excitement throughout the race. To make things even better for Mike, his car owner Clyde Booth was inducted into the Sandusky Speedway Hall of Fame earlier that day. This made bringing home his third Hy-Miler win even more special.
When asked by SpeedSport.com, Ordway said, “It was a great race; Clyde and the guys gave me a great car. Like I always say, everybody at Booth Racing Performance, JRi Shocks, and Performance Engines By Billy The Kid, has helped turn this operation around for sure with the engine package and stuff. And so many that help out - Sweet Manufacturing, Winters Performance, again JRi Shocks, and certainly my parents, my wife Kelsey, Doc, Nance, and Ed, Clyde, and Susan obviously, Ryan and Kaylee. I mean, everybody puts in an effort that allows me to keep driving the car. And it’s been working out so far.”
Mike Ordway Jr has been running JRi Shocks for quite some time now and is very pleased with the performance. He credits JRi Shocks to his success in various races throughout the year. In an interview from years past, Mike exclaims, “If you want to win open wheel or stock car races, you have to get JRi Shocks!”
The Hy-Miler Nationals is held yearly at the Sandusky Speedway in Sandusky, Ohio. 2022 was the 45th annual Hy-Miler event and was certainly one for the books!
